So much promise yet never able to get it all together. Outside of a few flashes of brilliance, Chad has been a flop in the NFL. We give credit to the Jets for sticking with the guy however time has come to realize he is never going to be a useful NFL QB. We expect the Jets to bring in another proven QB to compete with Chad for playing time.

The Bust Explained

As of right now Pennington is #1 on the Jets depth chart. However we expect that to change shortly. Culpepper got dumped from Miami so we expect him to have an impact on the Jets QB position in 2007. We don’t see Pennington as the starter come the end of the year.

The Risk Factor:

Pennington is a huge injury risk along with losing playing time to another QB. We expect with the upgraded offensive line and the addition of Jones that the Jets will focus the offense on running the ball and rely little on the QB position in 2007.

The Strategy:

We advise that Pennington not be drafted in any leagues. There are too many other solid QBs to mess around with the Jets QB situation. Thanks but no thanks is the official MoSneaky stance on Pennington.
