Donte’ Stallworth (WR) - NE Patriots

We are very surprised Donte got big money from New England after proving throughout his career he is injury prone and inconsistent. Without knowing all the details of the contract we suspect he will probably not last past 2007 in New England then be on the streets once again. New England’s offense is not one to produce huge stats from WRs so we expect no more than 40 catches, 700 Yards and 5 TDs.

The Bust Explained

Donte has always had the talent. However injury and inconsistency has always plagued him. Coming out strong in 2006 with Philadelphia got him a big check from New England however he did the usual and got injured then he was never the force he was early in the season. Don’t get confused and think Donte’ is a Top 10 WR on a good passing team.

The Risk Factor:

  We think Donte will have a few big games in 2007 however we expect him to spend more time on the trainers table than on the field. New England spreads to ball around too much so mediocrity is his ceiling.

The Strategy:

  You don’t want to get stuck with Donte’ on your team in 2007. We would much rather have Moss as a #2 than Donte’ anywhere on our team. Don’t get fooled into thinking New England is going to vault his career.
