J.P. Losman (QB) - Buffalo Bills

There is not much to like about the Bills offense in 2007. Buffalo traded away their best offensive player and drafted his replacement with the 12th pick in the draft. We don’t like that brilliant GM move much at all. However any offense they do put up in 2007 will go through Losman. Losman will be a lock for 20+ TDs and 3500+ Yds in 2007.

The Break Out Explained
Losman has had games in the last few years that make you think…”Wow he could be good with some players around him!”. Another off-season working with Lee Evans is going to help. Regardless of how bad the team is they are going to score TDs and our money is on that being through the air. We expect the team to get 75% of their TDs via the pass so 20+ TDs is well within reach. Playing from behind will increase the yards to a respectable 3500+ for the season. Losman’s got legs and he knows how to use them. We expect a few TDs on the ground as the RB situation will struggle to punch it in from the goaline.

The Risk Factor:
As with any young QB with little talent around him, INTs will be a big draw back. He could throw as many INTs as TDs, so if that is an issue in your league be warned. As with any running QB, injuries are always a concern. He does not have a lot of wear and tear to warrant nagging injuries but the ACL or a Concussion always loom over a running QB.

The Strategy:
Losman will slide a long way. Generally, he’s in the 15-20 range of QBs off the board. That means he could be around in the 10+ rounds. He makes for a dynamite #2 QB. He could also reliably be paired with another similarly ranked QB, with the idea of playing matchups each week.
